This is an excellent guitar for the money. It has an honest, playable feel about it. The neck on mine is made from decent maple with a hint of flame. It has a head that is not a strict Tele copy, but has a little bit of individuality. The finish and hardware are very acceptable for a budget guitar. It sounds respectable. It would suit beginners and intermediate guitarists, or be very good as a second guitar for gigging purposes.
As a project guitar, it certainly benefits from the addition of serious pickups and locking tuners. Do that and you will have a guitar that, in my opinion, beats any Squier into second place.
